WSA’s Signia Pure C&G MaX took the Hearing Aids, Receiver in Canal category, while Widex Compass Cloud 2.0 won in the Service Delivery, Hearing Aid Fitting Software category.
WSA announced that its Signs and Widex brands have each earned a 2026 Hearing Technology Innovator Awardrecognizing advances in AI-driven sound processing and cloud-based fitting software.
Hosted by Hearing Health & Technology Matters (HHTM), the annual program recognizes technological innovation and achievement across the hearing industry. The 2026 awards mark the second consecutive year Widex products have been recognized, following the Widex Allure App and Compass Cloud’s wins at the 2025 Hearing Technology Innovator Awards.
Pure C&G MaX signals
The Pure C&G MaX signals is built on the Signia Multi-adaptive Xperience (MaX) platform, powered by Acoustic Intelligence. Four interconnected Deep Neural Networks analyze speech, background noise, the listening environment, and the wearer’s own voice simultaneously, sharing information in real time to adapt to the full listening situation. This coordinated approach is designed to help wearers stay engaged in dynamic group conversations, even as speakers move and surroundings change.

Its win in the competitive Receiver in Canal category comes in a year marked by a high volume of new hearing aid launches, reinforcing Signia’s approach to AI sound processing built around understanding the complete listening moment. The device was also recently added to HearUSA’s nationwide hearing aid portfolio.
Widex Compass Cloud 2.0
Widex Compass Cloud 2.0developed for Widex Allure and Allure AI hearing aids, is a cloud-based fitting platform that combines advanced fitting tools with real-world usage data to help hearing care professionals personalize care from the initial appointment through follow-up visits.

Key features include Enhanced Data Logging, which provides insight into the sound environments patients encounter beyond the clinic to support targeted adjustments; Adaptation Manager, which helps new wearers gradually adjust to amplification; and Allure Sensogram, which enables hearing measurements directly through the devices. Automatic cloud updates deliver new capabilities without manual software installations.
Industry Recognition
“At WSA, we invest in innovation that raises expectations for what hearing care can deliver, both in the clinic and in the moments that matter to patients,” says Mike O’Neil, president US wholesale, WSA, in a release. “These awards recognize the expertise of our Signia and Widex teams and our commitment to putting that expertise in the hands of hearing care professionals, so they can help people hear with confidence and participate fully in daily life.”
“With Signia MaX and Widex Compass Cloud 2.0, we’ve taken significant steps this year to advance AI sound processing and cloud-based fitting,” O’Neil says in the release. “Each brand brings a distinct perspective backed by award-winning technology, giving WSA the depth to lead across multiple areas of hearing care. That breadth is central to our leadership and our ability to shape the future of the industry.”
WSA also recently earned recognition in other areas, including pledging 100 hearing aids and employee volunteers to the Dallas Hearing Foundation and launching its EMPOWERS U program to support AuD students and early-career audiologists.
Since its inception, the Hearing Technology Innovator Awards program has raised more than $40,000 for hearing-related charities. Other 2026 Hearing Technology Innovator Award winners this cycle include Phonak Eon.
