Ten of San Diego State University’s brightest student leaders have been chosen to represent the university as this year’s Homecoming Royal Court.

Eight seniors and two graduate students comprise this year’s Royal Court, representing a diverse slice of SDSU’s student body, with all having exceptional records of service and leadership.

This year’s field was selected from more than 20 applicants. A selection committee composed of students, faculty and alumni narrowed the field to 10 finalists, from which the two Homecoming Royals will be selected.

After their selection, the finalists went through a series of interviews conducted by SDSU faculty, staff and alumni, who will select the Royals, which will be announced at halftime of Saturday’s Homecoming football game against Fresno State at Snapdragon Stadium.

“The 2026 Homecoming Court represents the very best of what it means to be an Aztec,” said Brian Levett, an assistant director with Associated Students, who was a Homecoming Royal in 2015. “This year’s court is made up of amazing student leaders whose involvement spans student government, recognized student organizations, and various areas of campus life.

“Each of these students brings unique experiences, perspectives, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact on the SDSU community,” Levett said. “As a former Homecoming Court member myself, I understand how special this experience is, and I couldn’t be more proud of this year’s group.”

The Homecoming Court participates in a number of events over the week, including volunteering at an Aztec Unity Project Oct. 15 and 16 with the Glazer Center for Leadership & Service. The members and a guest from the organization they represent will learn about food insecurity followed by volunteering with SDSU Alumni and past Homecoming Court members at the San Diego Food Bank.
