Description. On a disc with a blue, grid-lined globe, an American bald eagle in proper colors is centered. The eagle’s wings are displayed, supporting a shield of the United States coat of arms and grasping a gold anchor. Three ship silhouettes—a tanker, a container ship, and a roll-on, roll-off ship—are placed across the globe. A red scroll, doubled blue, is draped over the anchor and inscribed “WE DELIVER” in white letters. The disc is enclosed by a dark blue designation band, inscribed “UNITED STATES NAVY” at the top and “NAVAL SEALIFT TRANSPORTATION COMMAND” at the bottom, all in white letters. SYMBOLISM

The seal’s design reflects the core mission of the Naval Sealift Transportation Command (NAVTRANS). The American Bald Eagle, our national symbol, is front and center and bears a shield of the arms of the United States and holds a gold anchor that signifies our proud nautical heritage.

The color palette of red, white, and blue honors our identity as an American naval command and also represents our partnership with the U.S. Maritime Administration, a key partner overseeing the Ready Reserve Force. The central globe highlights the worldwide scope of our operations, supporting U.S. Transportation Command’s global maritime area of responsibility.

The three ship silhouettes represent the workhorses of our fleet; the tankers, dry cargo ships, and roll-on, roll-off vessels that are essential for conducting our sealift and transportation mission. The motto, “WE DELIVER,” is a clear and direct statement of our commitment to providing reliable, effective, and timely logistical support to the warfighter.

The entire emblem is bound by a traditional outer gold rope, symbolizing naval heritage, the unbreakable strength of the maritime bond, and the unified commitment of the command’s global workforce.
