SAN DIEGO —The Coast Guard is searching for a missing kayaker, 27-year-old Samantha Youngs, who was reported missing near Torrey Pines Gliderport in La Jolla, California, Tuesday morning.
Anyone who may have information regarding Youngs’ location is asked to call the Joint Harbor Operations Center at 619-278-7057.
At 6:00 a.m., watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector San Diego received notification that Youngs’ family reported her missing, along with her kayak. Her car was found at the Torrey Pines Gliderport cliffside parking lot.
Coast Guard vessels and aircraft are actively searching waterside in the vicinity of Torrey Pines Natural reserve and La Jolla shores, along with partner agencies, San Diego Lifeguard Service and the San Diego Police Department.
