Even if the Cleveland Browns miss the NFL playoffs, fans will still have a chance to watch the team in February.
The Browns are the focus of Hulu’s upcoming scripted drama “The Land,” which released its first trailer Tuesday ahead of its Feb. 15 premiere.
Created by Dan Fogelman, whose credits include “This Is Us” and “Paradise,” the series follows a fictional version of the Browns as the franchise navigates navigates challenges on and off the field.
Welcome to THE LAND. Premiering February 15 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. A new scripted drama series.
Set within the world of the Cleveland Browns, Christopher Meloni, Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford and William H. Macy bring you the drama of the NFL like you’ve never seen it before.

Christopher Meloni, best known for portraying Elliot Stabler on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” stars as Danny Roarke, Cleveland’s head coach who is tasked with reviving the struggling franchise. With his job on the line, Roarke’s best shot at turning things around rests on his own son, a rookie quarterback out of Ohio State.
The fictional quarterback, Connor Roarke, already had his NFL draft moment earlier this year.
Ahead of the second day of the 2026 NFL draft in Pittsburgh, commissioner Roger Goodell took the stage to announce a surprise selection.
“With the first pick of the 2026 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select Connor Roarke, quarterback, Ohio State,” Goodell said.
Of course, the announcement was part of filming for the series, not an actual draft selection.
Meanwhile, William H. Macy plays the Browns’ owner, Hal Durkin, who faces a different kind of competition as he decides which of his two daughters will take over the franchise.
“It’s about a football team, nominally the Cleveland Browns,” Macy told Deadline in January. “They’re brilliant scripts. They’re Shakespearean. It’s about football, but, oh, my lord, the plots are so profound, and I’m having the time of my life.”
The cast also includes Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford, Sam Corlett, Tanner Zagarino, Chloe Bennet, Bridget Moynahan and Omar Epps.
With the NFL serving as a co-producer, the series will feature authentic league branding and access.
“The NFL is completely behind our show, so we’ve got complete access,” Macy told Deadline. “I’m optimistic it’s going to be something. And what if Cleveland starts winning? Because I think our team is going to do better.”
“The Land” premieres the day after Super Bowl LXI, with its promotional tagline promising, “When the game is over, the real drama begins.”
