What to know about gambling addiction boosted by access, technology

CHICAGO (WLS) — Here’s what you need to know about the risks of gambling addiction amid increased access through technology.

According to the National Council on Problem Gambling, more than 2.5 million people have a severe gambling problem in the U.S., and experts say those numbers could rise.

Dr. Gail Basch, a professor in the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Rush, joined ABC7 to discuss gambling addiction. She is also the program director of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program.
