US Squash is excited to announce the US Squash Coaches Summit, taking place Friday, December 18, in Philadelphia. The Summit will bring together coaches from across the country for a highly interactive day of collaboration, education and shared learning focused on strengthening coaching and growing the game.

The Summit will run from 9:00am–4:00pm and will be free for Coach Pass Premium and Basic members. Registration is open through Sunday, November 15 and is available here. The Philadelphia venue will be confirmed closer to the event.

Designed to be more than a traditional conference, this interactive Summit will give coaches the opportunity to step away from their day-to-day coaching environments, connect with colleagues, exchange ideas and work together on the opportunities and challenges facing squash in the United States.

Sessions will focus on what makes a great coach, sports psychology in practice, officiating education, high-performance pathways and growing the game across the U.S. Coaches will participate in breakout sessions, real-life scenarios, group discussions and collaborative projects, creating practical ideas and tools they can take directly back to their programs.

“Our coaches are at the heart of our squash community, and we want this Summit to be a day that is genuinely valuable to them,” said Linda Elriani, US Squash Senior Director of Professional Development & Programming. “There is so much knowledge and experience within our coaching community. Bringing everyone together gives us the opportunity to learn from one another, share what is working, tackle challenges together and continue raising coaching standards across the country. Most importantly, we want our coaches to have a voice and play an active role in shaping the future of squash.”

Growing participation will be an important focus of the day. Coaches will work together to explore creative ways to make squash more visible, accessible and enjoyable, while developing practical ideas to attract new players and keep them engaged in the sport.

“Strong coaches build strong players, strong programs and ultimately a stronger squash community,” said Kim Clearkin, US Squash Chief Programs Officer. “The Coaches Summit gives us an opportunity to bring our coaching community together around a shared purpose—learning from each other, strengthening pathways for our players and finding practical ways to grow the game throughout the United States.”

US Squash aims for the Coaches Summit to become an annual opportunity for coaches to connect, collaborate, learn and contribute to the future of the sport. Coaches will leave with new ideas, practical tools, stronger connections and clear actions they can take within their own coaching environments.

Early registration is encouraged. As part of registration, coaches can suggest topics, share ideas and identify challenges they would like addressed during the Summit.
