After the Investor Summit, more than five thousand applications were received for setting up industries here. Of these, 80 industrial units have already become operational. If this situation continues, there will be less space for industry in the future. Due to this, entrepreneurs have been demanding the creation of an industrial park for a long time.
His demand has been fulfilled. Soon, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Zone will be established in the district to promote employment-related industrial development. This industrial zone will be built on 50 acres of land, where all the facilities will be provided to both the employers and the job seekers under one roof. At present about five thousand small and big industries are operating in the district.
In comparison to these, there are very few industrial areas here. There are two industrial areas in Civil Lines area at Roshan Bagh and Ajitpur. Industrial units are established on all the plots here. In such a situation, there is a demand for space for industrial units here for a long time. On September 5, 2022, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced the creation of an industrial area in Bilaspur in a public meeting held at the Physical Ground.
Efforts were also made to implement this, but the people of the place where it was selected went to the High Court, saying that it was sealed. After this this project was shelved. Now the state government is implementing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Area Scheme in all 75 districts.
These facilities will be available
Pre-built factory sheds and flatted factories will be available in this zone, so that entrepreneurs do not have to worry about land and infrastructure. They will be able to install machines in the multi-storey building constructed here and start their work immediately.
Here, along with industrial units, facilities like skill training centres, employment offices, testing labs, banking facilities and display area for One District One Product (ODOP) will be present under one roof.
Youth willing to start a job or business will be trained as per their qualifications and will be given jobs or self-employment opportunities as per their interest. Both industrialists and workers will benefit from it. There will also be arrangements for accommodation for the workers here.
