3 places decided for demonstration, but…
In fact, after the recommendation of the Home Ministry, Delhi Police has canceled the recognition of Jantar Mantar and identified three new places for the protest. CTI National President Brijesh Goyal has welcomed the decision to cancel the recognition of the demonstration at Jantar Mantar. Speaking to NDTV, Brijesh Goyal said,
We had written a letter to Prime Minister Modi on October 10 demanding that demonstrations should not be allowed in Jantar Mantar and Central Delhi because it causes huge loss to the businessmen of Delhi. I am happy that the government has taken this decision.
Objection to Ramlila Maidan
Brijesh Goyal said, ‘Ramlila Maidan is also included in the three places which have been approved for protest. We have objection as to why the government has given permission for the demonstration at Ramlila Maidan.
He said, ‘There are all the important markets of Old Delhi around Ramlila Maidan, which include Ajmeri Gate, Kamla Market, Daryaganj, Chawri Bazaar, Paharganj, Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, Bhagirath Place, Naya Bazaar, Khari Baoli and Kashmiri Gate.’

He further said, ‘If there is a big demonstration at Ramlila Maidan, the police will take strict action, barricades will be installed on the roads. Due to this, the movement of traders will be disrupted and trading will be affected.
He said, ‘Delhi-6 is the heart of Delhi and is the biggest distribution hub of traders in Delhi. Therefore, the government should reconsider the decision of giving permission for the demonstration at Ramlila Maidan.

CTI appeals to protesters also
Traders organization Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has written a letter to the leaders of opposition parties and Cockroach Janata Party, appealing them to stop their political demonstrations during this festival season till Diwali as it is affecting the business of about 15 lakh trades and traders of Delhi.
