Suzuki’s Japan Mobility Show Bizweek stand shows it testing how far its brand can stretch beyond building cars and motorcycles
Suzuki will use Japan Mobility Show Bizweek 2026 to present products well beyond its car and motorcycle core, among them a robotic electric platform, a powered walker for older people and a biogas business in India. The trade-focused event runs at Makuhari Messe near Tokyo from 13 to 16 October.
Organised by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Bizweek brings automakers together with start-ups, universities, research institutes and other companies to tackle social problems across industry lines. Suzuki’s stand sits in the zone covering environmental and economic gains, where it will present multi-pathway technologies.
MITRA is a multipurpose electric platform built on a robotic chassis that can travel outdoors and over rough ground. RT.3, from subsidiary RT.Works, is an electric-assist walker intended to keep elderly people mobile.
The Indian exhibit covers compressed biomethane gas made from cow dung, a fuel route Suzuki has been developing with local dairy partners. Two apps complete the stand: Shuppa helps food-truck and mobile retail operators plan sites, draw customers, take payments and analyse sales, while JimJam lets Jimny owners log and share trips on a dedicated map.
No specifications, prices or launch dates were given for any exhibit. Taken together, the line-up shows Suzuki chasing what it calls infrastructure mobility, products tied closely to customers’ daily lives that reach past the limits of its existing business.
