BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Tradepoint Atlantic in Sparrows Point on Tuesday to deliver remarks at an event hosted by defense technology company Anduril Industries, bringing the president to one of the largest industrial redevelopment projects in the Baltimore region, a White House spokesperson confirmed to The Baltimore Sun.
Trump is scheduled to speak at 4 p.m. at 1660 Shipyard Road, according to White House guidance. Anduril CEO Brian Schimpf and other officials are scheduled to speak earlier in the afternoon.
Anduril, founded in 2017, develops autonomous systems, defense technology and other military equipment. The company has described the event as an announcement about the next chapter of its work to rebuild American defense manufacturing. This comes days after U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth created a new ‘Autonomous Warfare Command’ to oversee new military drone technology.
Trump’s appearance comes as Tradepoint Atlantic continues to transform the former Bethlehem Steel property into a sprawling logistics and industrial center. The 3,300-acre site has attracted warehouses, manufacturing and distribution operations and has become an important part of the Port of Baltimore’s freight network.
