CINCINNATI — October football is here.
Greater Cincinnati high school football continues the stretch run of the regular season with several key Week 7 matchups to watch.
The WCPO 9 Friday Football Game of the Week featured Anderson’s 66-21 win over visiting Turpin in the renewal of the Forest Hills School District rivalry.
Anderson (6-1), rated No. 1 in the Division II, Region 8 computer points standings, has won six consecutive games.
In Division I, Region 4, Moeller won the Greater Catholic League South division outright with a 35-28 win over Elder at Welcome Stadium in Dayton. Moeller improved to 5-2 this season. The Crusaders are No. 4 in the Region 4 standings.
The Greater Miami Conference had multiple games to watch including Lakota West’s 35-0 win over Middletown at Barnitz Stadium. Lakota West, rated No. 2 in the Region 4 standings, improved to 6-1 this season.
Princeton defeated Mason 47-0 as the Vikings enjoyed their first true home game this season. It also marked the completion of the renovation of Jake Sweeney Automotive Stadium at Pat Mancuso Field. Princeton is ranked No. 1 in Region 4.
Talawanda defeated previously unbeaten Northwest 35-26. Northwest had a 6-0 record for the first time since the 2013 season.
North College Hill remained undefeated with a 43-3 win over host Summit Country Day. NCH is No. 2 in the Division IV, Region 16 standings.
In Northern Kentucky, Highlands defeated Covington Catholic 38-20. The Bluebirds have won six consecutive games. Highlands (6-1) plays host to Elder (5-2) Oct. 9.
