Postcard Hotel locations have so far been in remote, leisure-led retreats far from South Asia’s business districts. But now founder and CEO Kapil Chopra wants to take the brand into the cities.

In an exclusive interview with Skift, Chopra said Postcard is preparing an urban format built around nearly-all-suite hotels, and each with a private members’ club integrated into the property. Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad are under consideration for the first such clubs, and the company is already in discussions at three locations.

“The Postcard Hotel will come to the city in a financially workable format,” Chopra told Skift. He said that means a prime location, an all-suite (or nearly all-suite) configuration and an integrated private club.

Founded in 2018, Postcard Hotels has until now built its 12-property portfolio around destination-led retreats, from Goa’s beaches and Assam’s tea estates to Gujarat’s Gir Wild
