According to records published by The Gazette, NCP Commercial Services Ltd has once again entered administration.
The move follows a difficult period for the parking operator, which has faced ongoing financial pressures linked to changing travel habits and lower demand for car parking since the pandemic.
NCP (National Car Parks) Commercial Services Ltd, founded in London in 1931, manages and operates car parks across the UK.

It offers “a fantastic amount of choice” to customers when it comes to finding somewhere to park their vehicles.
On its website, it says: “We’re passionate about parking services.
“As the UK’s number one car park operator, we have helped millions of customers to find solutions that are right for them.”
The car park operator says it has more than 200,000 car park spaces across more than 800 sites across the UK.

Edward Williams, Timothy Andrew Higgins and David Robert Baxendale of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) were appointed as joint administrators on September 30, 2026, according to The Gazette.
The business, owned by Japanese group Park24, had already called in administrators earlier this year, with 682 jobs put at risk in March 2026.
At the time, NCP said its finances had been affected by a sustained decline in parking demand following Covid-19 restrictions.
The company said evolving commuting patterns and changes in the way consumers travel had reduced occupancy levels across a number of its sites.

It also pointed to the burden of long-term lease agreements on underperforming locations, which added to its financial challenges.
National closure lists confirmed that one Oxfordshire site, NCP Banbury Marlborough Road, was among those to close at the end of March.
NCP’s own online locator shows that it operates car parks at Oxford’s Gloucester Green and Oxford’s Worcester Street.
Neither of these car parks was on the published closure list, and both are still open under the administrators’ control.
