The Onondaga County Legislature passed the 2027 budget during its meeting on Tuesday.
The approved budget totals nearly $1.7 billion.
It includes a property tax rate cut for the ninth year in a row.
When he released the budgetOnondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon said that the county remains in a strong position despite challenges, including increasing utility costs.
The county legislature also voted to continue to collect its gas tax in cents per gallon rather than a percentage.
That resolution passed on Tuesday runs from Dec. 1 through March 1. This is in response to what the legislature is calling high gas prices.
