The Nissan Frontier Pro pickup launches in Mexico in October 2026 as the automaker’s first model engineered and built in China for export worldwide. Badged Navara Pro in some markets, it reaches the Philippines, the Middle East and wider Latin America by year-end, with Australia and New Zealand following in 2027.

Zhengzhou Nissan, the company’s Chinese joint venture, designed and builds the truck to Nissan production standards. A plan to ship the N7 electrified sedan out of China to ASEAN and Latin American markets suggests the model is the start of a broader sourcing shift.

Latin America, ASEAN and Oceania get 1.5- or 2.0-litre plug-in hybrids with vehicle-to-load output, making this Nissan’s first electrified pickup. Middle East buyers instead get gasoline and diesel versions.

In a statement, Guillaume Cartier, Chief Performance Officer at Nissan, said: “Frontier Pro / Navara Pro shows what happens when innovative thinking is turned into real-world capability. By combining advanced technology, impressive performance and Nissan’s renowned quality and durability, we have created a pickup that reflects Nissan’s Dare Beyond ambition, challenging expectations while remaining practical for everyday life. As it launches across global markets, Frontier Pro / Navara Pro strengthens our portfolio and demonstrates Nissan’s ability to leverage global expertise to deliver products that resonate with customers around the world.”
