The Minnesota Golden Gophers (3-1) will look to re-take the Little Brown Jug for the first time since 2014 when they welcome the Michigan Wolverines (3-1) to Huntington Bank Stadium at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3.
GopherNation: Screw y’all, we’re getting the Jug.
Andy York: I was wrong last week. Can I be wrong twice in a row? The Michigan defense, especially the front seven, is great. So we will struggle to run the ball and then it’s all on Drake to lead us, which could be a good thing, but could also see some ugly three-and-out drives. Michigan put up 430 yards of offense on Iowa last week, so our defense will need to be about perfect to shut them down enough for us to pull off the upset. I don’t love the odds, but it’s not zero.
zipsofakron: The vibes are being reconstructed and the crowd should have some enthusiasm at kickoff. However, if my Gopher Compass is calibrated correctly, this will be an emotional letdown out of the gate with Michigan racing out to a 14-0 lead and sucking the life out of the stadium. I still haven’t recovered from the 2015 Halloween Horror.
mowe0018: P.J. in a trophy game? Godspeed, Gophers.
wildcat00: I don’t think Michigan is particularly good this year. But I don’t think the Gophers are particularly good this year either, and that scenario usually goes against Minnesota.
WhiteSpeedReceiver: Do I think Michigan is good? No, not really. But there’s some bad hoodoo there and I just don’t think we’ll get it done.
