Demand of 16 cooperative unions
The unions have urged the state government to increase the procurement and retail prices of Nandini milk by Rs 8 to 10 per litre.
16 cooperative milk unions under Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) have demanded an increase in the price of milk. Officials of the unions say that the price of animal feed is also increasing and purchasing milk from milk producing farmers is also becoming expensive.
In such a situation, all the unions have requested the state government to give government approval for increasing the milk prices, so that the additional burden on dairy farmers and unions can be reduced.
