Live Nation Entertainment to Make Majority Investment in Chilean Live Entertainment Company Bizarro, May Announce Billboard on Friday (October 9). The deal will combine Live Nation’s international experience and global network with Bizarro’s knowledge of the local market and its relationships with Latin artists. According to the companies, the alliance will generate more opportunities for artists and expand the offer of live music experiences for audiences throughout Chile.

“Chile is one of the most dynamic music markets in Latin America and a priority for Live Nation,” Michael Rapino, president and CEO of Live Nation Entertainment, said in a statement. “This agreement with Bizarro complements our existing alliance with DG Medios and strengthens our commitment to Chile and the growth of Latin music throughout the region.”

Alfredo Alonsofounder of Bizarro, will continue to lead the company’s creative and strategic direction. Alonso founded the concert production business in 2008, and the company has been operating in Chile for more than 18 years. Since 2018, he has also been in charge of the promotion and production of the Viña del Mar Festival.

“Bizarro was built with the purpose of connecting Chilean fans with the best live shows in the world,” said Alonso. “Being partners with Live Nation is a tremendous opportunity to enhance everything we have built, opening the door to more artists, bigger stages and new experiences for audiences across the country.”

The historical partner of Live Nation in Chile, DG Mediawill continue to play a central role in the growth of international live music events in the country. Bizarro, for its part, will contribute its experience in the development of Latin artists and local content, including its work around the Viña del Mar Festival.

The deal adds a new piece to Live Nation’s growing network in Latin America, where the company has increasingly combined its global reach with local alliances and majority stakes in companies in the region. His portfolio includes OCESA in Mexico, Páramo Presents in Colombia y Dale Play Live en Argentina.

In Peru, Live Nation announced in January a majority investment in Bizarro Perú. Bizarro Perú and the team that Live Nation already had in Lima operate as a unified local organization, combining the knowledge of the Peruvian promoter with the international resources of Live Nation.

“Together with Alberto and the team in Lima, we will combine Live Nation’s global experience with our deep local knowledge to elevate the live music experience for fans and artists across the country,” said Alonso. when it was announced the agreement in Peru. Alonso also serves as president of Live Nation Peru.

In Chile, the companies said their focus will be on supporting artists, improving the live experience and expanding the country’s entertainment offering. Bizarro will continue to lead its creative and strategic work, while Live Nation will bring its international reach and experience.
