Pakistan, meanwhile, got past Bangladesh by six wickets in the other last-four contest to line up the showpiece against India. Their Asian Games 2026 cricket quarter-final match against Hong Kong China was also washed out.
In a rain-curtailed 13-over fixture, the Pakistan cricket team restricted Bangladesh to 111/7 with Sufyan Moqim picking up three wickets.
Abdul Samad, with an unbeaten 30 off 15 balls, then helped them chase the target down with six wickets and nine balls remaining.

Pakistan, meanwhile, are chasing their first men’s Asian Games cricket gold, though their women’s side have previously topped the podium.

Aichi-Nagoya 2026 applies different rules, though. If the gold medal match is washed out, a Super Over will be played to decide the winner. Should even a Super Over fail to be completed, the two teams will share the gold.
