James “Booboo” Armstrong threw for 195 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 62 yards and a TD as No. 2 Hopewell scored a 62-14 victory over Beaver (1-5, 0-1) in Class 3A Western Hills Conference play on Friday night. Armstrong surpassed 1,000 passing yards for the season and has now thrown 15 touchdowns against

James “Booboo” Armstrong threw for 195 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 62 yards and a TD as No. 2 Hopewell scored a 62-14 victory over Beaver (1-5, 0-1) in Class 3A Western Hills Conference play on Friday night.

Armstrong surpassed 1,000 passing yards for the season and has now thrown 15 touchdowns against two interceptions.

Brody Rock caught three passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns, scored on a fumble recovery and returned a punt 44 yards for another TD for the Vikings (5-1, 1-1). Nasir Wade added 118 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Class 6A

Central Catholic 62, Mt. Lebanon 0 – Owen Herrick threw for 162 yards and three touchdowns as No. 1 Central Catholic (6-0, 3-0) downed Mt. Lebanon (0-5, 0-2) in Class 6A. Chrys Black Jr. ran for 125 yards and two touchdowns and returned a punt 50 yards for a touchdown.

Class 5A

Gateway 47, Franklin Regional 9 – Ned Reid IV ran for 153 yards and two touchdowns and caught two scoring passes from Mayson Mitchell as Gateway (3-3, 1-1) defeated Franklin Regional (1-5, 1-2) in Big East Conference play. Mitchell threw for 233 yards and three touchdowns and Jayden Stammer caught seven passes for 101 yards and one TD. Dominic Devola ran for 142 yards and Franklin Regional’s only touchdown.

Latrobe 35, Fox Chapel 0 – Dom Scarton threw for 143 yards and two touchdowns as Latrobe (4-2, 2-1) shut out Fox Chapel (1-5, 0-3) in Big East Conference play. A.J. Yeboah ran for two touchdowns while Dante Durigon ran for one TD and caught another.

Woodland Hills 41, Connellsville 19 – Elijah McGuire rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns as Woodland Hills (3-3, 3-0) defeated Connellsville (3-3, 0-2) in Big East Conference play. Jaron McKinney, Jr. threw for 125 yards and one touchdown and ran for 77 yards and one TD. Jeffrey Nicholson threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns for Connellsville.

Pine-Richland 56, Moon 7 – Top-ranked Pine-Richland (5-1, 1-0) scored 49 first-half points in its Northeast Conference win over Moon (0-5, 0-1).

Class 4A

Albert Gallatin 35, Uniontown 12 – Bronx Jamison ran for 101 yards and a touchdown as Albert Gallatin (3-3, 1-0) defeated Uniontown (3-3, 0-1) for the Big Six Conference victory. Roman Smith added 97 rushing yards and one touchdown.

Ringgold 35, Laurel Highlands 0 – Ringgold (3-3, 1-0) shut out Laurel Highlands (0-6, 0-1) in the Big Six Conference.

Hampton 21, Indiana 12 – Andrew Reschoff threw for 146 yards and a touchdown as Hampton (4-2, 1-0) beat Indiana (2-4, 0-1) in the Greater Allegheny Conference. Jake Kennedy ran for two Hampton touchdowns.

Montour 48, Central Valley 7 – Brandon Bennett threw for 183 yards and one touchdown and ran for 151 yards and two TDs to lead No. 3 Montour (4-2, 1-0) to the Parkway Conference win against Central Valley (2-4, 0-1). Montour’s Amari Marshall caught four passes for 97 yards and a touchdown and had an interception. Antonio Perri caught three passes for 111 yards for Central Valley.

Class 3A

North Catholic 42, Knoch 6 – Anthony Greene rushed for two touchdowns as North Catholic (3-3, 3-0) beat Knoch (3-3, 0-3) in the Allegheny Seven Conference. Blake Montgomery scored on a 2-yard run for Knoch.

Elizabeth Forward 55, Greensburg Salem 8 – Kaden Allen threw for 147 yards and one touchdown and ran for another score as top-ranked Elizabeth Forward (6-0, 3-0) beat Greensburg Salem (0-6, 0-3) in the Interstate Conference. Rocco Thompson ran for 112 yards and the game’s first two touchdowns. Braydon Miller scored on an 82-yard TD pass from Brody Chismar for Greensburg Salem.

Avonworth 49, Yough 0 – Mason Mobley threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more to lead No. 3 Avonworth (5-1, 1-0) past Yough (0-6, 0-1) in Three Rivers Conference play.

Propel Braddock Hills 60, Shady Side Academy 6 – In the Three Rivers Conference, No. 4 Propel Braddock Hills (4-2, 1-0) downed Shady Side Academy (3-3, 0-1).

Aliquippa 48, Ambridge 7 – Aliquippa (3-2, 1-0) beat Ambridge (1-5, 0-1) in Western Hills Conference play.

Our Lady of Sacred Heart 32, Ellwood City 15 – J.J. Hayden threw for 243 yards and four touchdowns to lead Our Lady of Sacred Heart (1-5, 1-0) over Ellwood City (0-6, 0-1) in Western Hills Conference play. Thomas Pinno caught six passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns for OLSH. Richard Cureton rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown for Ellwood City.

Class 2A

Apollo-Ridge 41, East Allegheny 13 – Chris Dailey threw for three touchdown passes, including two to Logan Schrock, as No. 3 Apollo-Ridge (5-1, 3-0) beat East Allegheny (2-4, 0-3) in Allegheny Conference play.

Ligonier Valley 52, Brownsville 7 – In the Allegheny Conference, Blake Hill ran for two touchdowns as No. 4 Ligonier Valley (6-0, 2-0) defeated Brownsville (0-6, 0-3). Gregory Sleasman caught two TD passes from Levi Foust, and Foust also ran for a score. Ligonier Valley led 45-7 at halftime.

Seton LaSalle 62, Carlynton 0 – No. 1 Seton-La Salle scored 56 points in the first half in its Century Conference win over Carlynton (2-4, 0-2).

Chartiers-Houston 60, Quaker Valley 0 – Teegan Bogden tossed for 117 yards and four touchdowns as Chartiers-Houston (3-3, 2-1) blanked Quaker Valley (0-6, 0-3) in Century Conference play.

McGuffey 56, Keystone Oaks 6 – Caleb Simons ran for 115 yards and two touchdowns as McGuffey (4-2, 2-1) defeated Keystone Oaks (1-5, 1-2) in Century Conference play. Denny Furmanek added 113 rushing yards and one touchdown and he scored on a 70-yard kickoff return.

Beaver Falls 30, Mohawk 20 – Rodney Slappy threw for one touchdown and ran for two more as No. 5 Beaver Falls (4-1, 2-0) defeated Mohawk (0-6, 0-3) in the Midwestern Athletic Conference.

Neshannock 52, Freedom 6 – In the Midwestern Athletic Conference, Jarey Corey threw for 256 yards and five touchdowns to lead Neshannock (5-1, 3-0) to victory over Freedom (4-2, 1-2). Justin Edworthy II caught three passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Karter Brown threw for 101 yards and ran for Freedom’s only touchdown.

Western Beaver 35, New Brighton 12 – Western Beaver (2-4, 2-0) defeated New Brighton (1-5, 0-3) to claim the Midwestern Athletic Conference win.

Class A

Cornell 59, Summit Academy 6 – Chris Ford ran for 165 yards and three touchdowns as Cornell (3-3, 1-2) beat Summit Academy (0-6, 0-3) in Big 7 Conference play. Cornell led 53-0 at halftime.

Laurel 49, Union 7 – In the Big 7 Conference, Jack Jones and Anthony Geiwitz scored two touchdowns each as Laurel (4-2, 3-0) beat Union (3-3, 2-1). Gianni Million ran for 106 yards for Union.

Northgate 21, Rochester 14 – Northgate (4-2, 2-1) beat Rochester (1-5, 1-2) in a Big 7 Conference matchup.

Shenango 36, South Side 15 – Jasyn Williams ran for 204 yards and four touchdowns to lead No. 3 Shenango (5-0, 3-0) to the Big 7 Conference win at South Side (0-6, 0-3). Niko DeSalvo added 129 rushing yards and one touchdown. Will Hudson ran for 101 yards and both South Side touchdowns.

Brentwood 7, Monessen 6 – Michael Satler caught a 7-yard TD pass from Thatcher Eriole, and Eriole’s point-after attempt was good to give Brentwood (2-4, 1-2) a Black Hills Conference win over Monessen (4-2, 1-2). Da’Mari Miles scored on a 3-yard run for Monessen but a two-point pass was incomplete. Kaier Payne threw for 145 yards for Monessen.

Fort Cherry 55, Burgettstown 12 – Eli Salvini ran for 197 yards and three touchdowns while Ryan Huey added 131 rushing yards and three TDs as No. 4 Fort Cherry (5-1, 2-1) beat No. 5 Burgettstown (5-1, 2-1) in a Black Hills Conference matchup.

Washington 49, Bentworth 3 – Travon Moye threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Ameer Nelson, as No. 2 Washington (5-1, 2-0) downed Bentworth (3-3, 1-1) in the Black Hills Conference. Nelson caught four passes for 223 yards and added a rushing touchdown.

Avella 46, West Greene 18 – Gage Samol rushed for 166 yards and three touchdowns and Chas Rush ran for 128 yards and two TDs as Avella (3-3, 2-1) beat West Greene (2-4, 1-2) in the Tri-County South.

California 62, Mapletown 0 – Brandon Meier threw for 122 yards and four touchdowns to lead California (4-2, 3-0) over Mapletown (0-6, 0-3) in Tri-County South play. Alan Dennis scored three touchdowns.

Frazier 20, Carmichaels 0 – In the Tri-County South, Brady Secrest threw for one touchdown and ran for two more to lead Frazier (3-3, 2-1) past Carmichaels (1-5, 0-3).

Beth-Center 51, Jefferson-Morgan 7 – In the Tri-County South, Beth-Center (6-0, 3-0) defeated Jefferson-Morgan (1-5, 1-2).

Nonconference

Bishop Canevin 42, South Allegheny 0 – Brady Wagner tossed for 145 yards and three touchdowns as Class 2A No. 2 Bishop Canevin (6-0) blanked South Allegheny (3-3) in a nonconference game. Alex Kirk caught two touchdown passes.

Sto-Rox 36, Springdale 0 – Karic Wills threw two touchdown passes as Sto-Rox (3-3) beat Springdale (1-4) in a nonconference matchup.

Independent

Hollidaysburg 52, Butler 12 – In nonconference play, Hollidaysburg (4-2) scored 38 first-half points on the way to beating Butler (3-3).

Preston (W.Va.) 28, Baldwin 6 – In nonconference play, Preston (W.Va.) (2-4) defeated Baldwin (1-4).

City League

Carrick 26, Perry Traditional Academy 0 – Carrick (1-4, 1-2) shut out Perry (0-5, 0-3) for the City League win.
