EVERY MEDALLIST AT THE WORLD CLIMBING EUROPE YOUTH SERIES LEIPZIG 2026

The 2026 World Climbing Europe Youth Series concluded in Leipzig, Germany, on 3 October, with Speed medals awarded in the Under 17 and Under 19 age categories. Austria, Poland and France shared the four gold medals, while the host nation collected three medals in total: one silver and two bronze. UNDER 17 GOLDS FOR HASELWANTER

The 2026 World Climbing Europe Youth Series concluded in Leipzig, Germany, on 3 October, with Speed medals awarded in the Under 17 and Under 19 age categories.

Austria, Poland and France shared the four gold medals, while the host nation collected three medals in total: one silver and two bronze.

UNDER 17 GOLDS FOR HASELWANTER AND MYŚLIWIEC

Austria’s Lara Haselwanter won the women’s Under 17 title in 7.30 seconds in the gold-medal race, as Slovenia’s Zoja Leskovar fell and took silver. Germany’s Lea Voigt secured bronze on home soil, clocking 9.08 against Italy’s Carolina Mariani, who also slipped and did not complete her race.

The men’s Under 17 gold-medal race was an all-Polish contest, with Maksymilian Myśliwiec taking gold in 5.83 seconds after Antoni Marcisz fell. Germany’s Maximilian Ruhland completed the podium, winning the bronze-medal race in 8.48 ahead of compatriot Moritz Müller, who clocked 9.42.

FRANCE SECURES DOUBLE GOLD IN UNDER 19 EVENTS

Eva-Lina Rymasz claimed women’s Under 19 gold for France, winning in 7.88 seconds ahead of Italy’s Alice Marcelli, who finished in 8.47. Ukraine’s Mariia Shymkova took bronze in 8.44 after Germany’s Mina Josephine Schultz slipped and fell in the bronze-medal race.

France’s Léo Grosset added men’s Under 19 gold to his country’s medal tally. Grosset clocked 5.23 in the final against Germany’s Mika Scherer, who fell but took silver. Switzerland’s Gilles Meili won bronze in 4.93 against fellow Swiss climber Sofiane Vial, who was unable to complete the race.
