Much as they may pull at our heartstrings, vehicles are a business, and their makers won’t hesitate to axe a model that isn’t making money or serving some other purpose like satisfying regulations or provided a halo effect in the showroom. Even cars that seem to be popular aren’t safe if a new model is coming to replace them. Every year, a variety of SUVs, trucks, and cars are canceled, and the market moves on.
These are the models leaving for the 2027 model year, though some promise to make it less of a “goodbye” and more of a “see you later.” As is the trend the past few years, the list is mostly cars. For simplicity, they’re listed in alphabetical order by automaker.
