The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and BMO announced that Solventum’s Bair Hugger Warming System won the 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota contest. The winner was revealed Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the chamber’s Manufacturers’ Summit, where business leaders from across Minnesota gathered to celebrate the manufacturing industry.

Solvent’s manufacturing facility is in Eden Prairie, with its corporate offices in Eagan.

The Bair Hugger Warming System helps maintain patients’ body temperatures during surgery and other medical procedures, reducing the risk of complications associated with unintended hypothermia.

“Congratulations to Solventum on being named this year’s Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota,” said Doug Loon, president and CEO of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. “This year’s competition gave Minnesotans a look at the incredible range of products being made right here in our state. Bair Hugger stood out in a field filled with impressive examples of Minnesota manufacturing, and this recognition is a great reflection of the people who make it possible.”

The contest began with 64 products, narrowed down through five rounds of public voting that drew thousands of votes statewide.

“Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota is a chance to celebrate the people behind these products as much as the products themselves,” said Jennifer Byers, vice president of grassroots and chamber relations at the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. “Every product in this year’s competition had a story behind it, and that story starts with the workers, engineers, designers and manufacturers who are building things in Minnesota every day.”

The Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota contest is presented by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and BMO and supported by the Chamber’s Manufacturers’ Council. The annual competition celebrates the products, people and companies driving Minnesota manufacturing forward and gives Minnesotans a chance to recognize the innovation happening across the state.
