Big relief for traders from Sadar Bazaar to Chandni Chowk

According to CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal, “The commencement of Guangzhou-Delhi direct flight after 6 years is a game-changer for Indian businessmen. Guangzhou is not just a city but the factory of the world. 70% of the goods of importers of Delhi’s Sadar Bazaar, Karol Bagh, Chandni Chowk, Kashmiri Gate, Lajpat Rai Market, Bhagirath Place, Chawri Bazaar, Gandhinagar come from there. In the last 6 years, Traders had to go via Hong Kong, Singapore or Kolkata, due to which the one day journey became two days and the ticket price reached Rs 60-70 thousand.”

3 big benefits of Delhi-Guangzhou direct flights

He told that starting of Delhi-Guangzhou direct flight will bring 3 big benefits related to trade and business…

  • First, business travel time will reduce from 8-9 hours to 5.5 hours and costs will reduce by 40%.
  • Second, air cargo logistics of samples and urgent parts will be faster. The businessman will be able to visit the factory in the morning and evening.
  • Third, confidence in the supply chain will return. This is the biggest sign of India-China business normalization during the BRICS Summit.

Traders will save 40% fare, journey will be completed in 5.5 hours

Brijesh Goyal further said that till now businessmen had to travel long distances via Hong Kong or Singapore, which consumed a lot of time and money. Not only this, it took Rs 65-75 thousand fare and 18-20 hours for an Indian businessman to go to Guangzhou.

By direct flight it will cost Rs 35-45 thousand in 5:30 hours. With this, MSME traders will be able to go to China more often for quality check and price negotiation and cargo cost will also reduce.

This means that with the commencement of direct flights after 6 years, the biggest difficulty of businessmen has been resolved. This will not only save time and money for businessmen, but also small businessmen (MSMEs) will now be able to easily go to China and directly negotiate and do business deals.
