FLINT, Mich. — Crime Stoppers of Flint and Genesee County brought community members and law enforcement together for an interactive fundraiser during its third annual WHODUNIT? event.
The event, held at Atlas Valley Golf Club, raised money for the nonprofit while giving attendees a chance to work through a staged mystery.
Participants collected evidence and tried to determine which suspect committed the fake crime.
Tim Jones, president of Crime Stoppers of Flint and Genesee County, said the organization’s mission goes beyond taking tips and making arrests.
“Crime Stoppers is not just about a tip line or arresting somebody. It’s also to help bring closure to those victims of these crimes,” Jones said. “This struggles and it hurts and it hurts those victims. So we incorporate with the county partnerships and law enforcement to be able to help that.”
Crime Stoppers of Flint and Genesee County is also accepting donations outside of the fundraiser.
