The Coast Guard is asking members of the workforce to take a few minutes to share their perspectives through the new SAPRR Climate Pulse Surveyopen through 15 October 2026.

The five- question survey supports the Coast Guard’s Sexual Assault Prevention, Response and Recovery (SAPRR) Strategic Plan and Action Plan and is designed to provide leaders with a timely snapshot of our workforce awareness and perceptions related to sexual assault prevention and response.

The survey focuses on 4 areas:

  • awareness of the SAPRR Action Plan and its perceived impact;
  • leader support for prevention and intervention;
  • unit support for bystander action; and
  • knowledge of reporting options and available resources.

Why another survey?

The SAPRR Climate Pulse Survey is intended to complement, not replace, the Defense Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS)which is scheduled to be fielded in November.

While DEOCS provides a broader assessment of organizational climate, the SAPRR Pulse Survey is narrowly focused on several areas connected to implementation of the Coast Guard’s SAPRR Action Plan, including Task 1.1.1 and Objective 1.1, Create Discipline Command Climates.

The results will provide leaders with an additional indicator of workforce awareness and perceptions, help identify areas that may require greater attention, and inform future prevention, communication and resource decisions.

Your feedback matters

Effective prevention depends on communication moving in both directions. Leaders need to know not only what policies and initiatives have been put in place, but also how they are being understood and experienced across the workforce.

Candidate feedback, including critical feedback, can help identify where the Coast Guard is making progress and where additional work is needed.

Participation is voluntary

How To Participate

Active-duty members, reservist, civilian employees and Auxiliarists are encouraged to participate.

The survey takes only a few minutes to complete and will remain open through 15 October 2026.

About the SAPRR Action Plan

The Coast Guard SAPRR Action Plan translates the Service’s strategic priorities into specific actions across prevention, response, recovery and accountability. The Climate Pulse Survey is one tool supporting the prevention line of effort and the Coast Guard’s broader effort to build disciplined command climates and strengthen trust, awareness and access to support it.
