Preparations to promote investment and industries in Chhattisgarh. To promote business in the state, the draft of Chhattisgarh Ease of Doing Business (Regulation-Freedom and Facilitation) Bill 2026 was approved in the meeting of the Council of Ministers. The objective of this bill is to make the processes for setting up business and industry more simple, transparent, digital and time-bound. The government claims that Chhattisgarh will be the first state in the country to implement such a bill.
With the implementation of the new law, investors will get relief from unnecessary delays and complications in government processes. The Bill includes important provisions such as deemed permission, self-certification, third-party verification, risk-based inspection and elimination of dual licensing obligations. The government believes that these reforms will make the business environment more favorable for investors, give impetus to industrial development and create new employment opportunities on a large scale in the state.
