PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A car ended up stuck in a massive hole in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia on Saturday.
A surveillance camera on that block captured the moment the driver continued past traffic cones and a warning sign before plunging into the hole near 21st and Laveer Streets right next to Imhotep Charter High School.
Neighbors like Nell Roby say the construction signs at that intersection have been up for months.
“People need to realize that when you see these areas being worked on, to take it serious” Roby said.
The airbags were deployed and the driver side door was open when our Action News crews arrived on scene.
We reached out to authorities to learn more about the incident but have not yet heard back.
No word yet on the whether the driver was injured.
