On his first official trip to Europe, excluding visits to Ukraine, UK PM Andy Burnham met German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters at the Chancellery, the prime minister said both countries were facing hybrid attacks “on a regular basis.” He added that “it makes sense” to confront those threats together.
Burnham and his host also formally ratified the new Treaty on Friendship and Bilateral Cooperation between the UK and Germany.
