Barcelona’s 2025/26 accounts covered a season that president Joan Laporta described as “excellent in all respects”, as Hansi Flick’s team won La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup for the second consecutive season.
However, the Catalans would have been disappointed to be eliminated in the Champions League quarter-finals by Atlético Madrid, who also defeated them in the Copa del Rey semi-final.
Barcelona Femeni won their seventh league title in a row, while also reclaiming the Champions League, thrashing Olympique Lyonnais 4-0 in the final in Oslo.
Off the pitch, Laporta said, “The annual accounts reflect positive ordinary results for the third consecutive year, thus meeting the objective of financial balance in a season marked by significant operational and capacity constraints.”
The president added, “This season was marked by a new record in revenue, which exceeded the €1 billion threshold for the first time.”
Indeed, there’s plenty of good news in Barcelona’s financial results, but they still face a number of challenges, as debt (and interest payments) have also surged to record levels – and will continue to rise.
