Banco Serfinanza and the Association of First Ladies of Colombia (ASODAMAS) launched Impulsa Artesano, an initiative that will facilitate financing and financial training for small artisan businesses.

The first phase will benefit 37 artisans selected by the association, with the support of the nation’s first lady, Ana Lucía Pineda.

Beneficiaries will be able to access pre-approved loans of between $1 million and $10.5 million to purchase raw materials, expand inventories, acquire tools and machinery, adapt work spaces or finance working capital.

The line of credit includes terms of up to 60 months, a fixed rate and guarantee from the National Guarantee Fund. Access to resources will be accompanied by training on cash flow, costs, savings, payment capacity and separation of personal and business finances.

Details of financing for artisans

“A loan without clear numbers can end up drowning the cash of an entrepreneur or a business. Therefore, each disbursement will be accompanied by tools to understand the costs, income and expenses, and to calculate whether the beneficiary can meet the monthly payment,” said Gian Piero Celia, president of Banco Serfinanza.

Financing will be granted progressively, according to the needs of each artisan, their debt capacity and their payment possibilities. The alliance seeks to strengthen the operation of these businesses and make it easier for them to expand their production and reach new customers.

Banco Serfinanza has 50 years of experience in the Colombian financial sector. At the end of 2025, its funding structure—based mainly on public deposits and complemented by bonds and rediscount credits—amounted to $2.6 trillion.

In September 2026, BRC Ratings – S&P Global affirmed its AAA and BRC 1+ ratings for the sixth consecutive time.
