Autonex launched as a unified international automotive marketplace group, bringing together brands including AutoScout24 and AutoTrader.ca across nine markets in Europe and Canada.
The group generates more than €800 million in annual revenue and serves more than 40 million unique monthly users.
Autonex also works with more than 45,000 dealer partners and carries more than two million vehicle listings at any given time.
The group holds leading market positions across several countries, including Canada, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, and the Nordic region.
Autonex will continue operating through its established consumer- and dealer-facing brands.
These include AutoScout24 in Europe, AutoTrader.ca and AutoHebdo.net in Canada, LeasingMarkt.de in Germany, and AutoProff in European business-to-business wholesale.
The launch reflects the group’s increasing operational and technology integration around a shared platform.
That platform includes Autonex Intelligence, a suite of AI-powered products and capabilities built on proprietary marketplace data.
Autonex said the technology is designed to support new forms of interaction, automation, and decision-making for both consumers and dealers.
The group’s strategy centers on three core areas: automotive marketplaces that connect buyers and sellers at scale, a shared platform that distributes products and commercial capabilities across markets, and an expanded suite of dealer solutions.
Autonex Intelligence will be brought to market through AutoScout24 Intelligence in Europe and AutoTrader Intelligence in Canada.
One of the company’s new AI capabilities is conversational search.
The feature is designed to help consumers search for vehicles using more natural interactions while considering factors such as individual needs and budget.
Autonex said this could also help dealers by generating more relevant and higher-intent customer inquiries.
The company is also developing an AI-powered dealer agent designed to analyze marketplace and performance data.
The system can recommend pricing, listing visibility, inventory quality, and other actions to improve dealer performance.
Autonex is also focusing on cross-border dealer trading.
The company said differences in supply, demand, pricing, and vehicle mix across European markets create significant dealer-to-dealer trading opportunities.
Through AutoProff and its broader marketplace capabilities, Autonex plans to support those transactions with sourcing, auctions, pricing, inspection, escrow, transportation, and tax-related services.
