“Building Brain-Healthy Habits,” an education program presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, will be hosted at no cost in two locations.
The first will be at Sequoia Springs Senior Living, 2401 Redwood Way, Fortuna, Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. To RSVP, call 707-726-0111. The second location will be at Silvercrest Residence, 2141 Tydd St., Eureka, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday. No RSVP is required for this gathering.
This program provides research-backed guidance on brain health and the importance of taking action to protect your brain at every age. In this program one will learn about healthy habits for your brain, like exercising and eating right; hear why brain health is important at all ages; and build a personalized action plan for brain-healthy habits.

The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Humboldt County residents to also join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s-Humboldt County on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Adorni Center in Eureka. Check-in starts at 9 a.m. There is no cost to register, no team size limit and no minimum fundraising commitment.
