Crevillent (10/20/2026).- The government team of the Crevillent City Council will submit to the next plenary session a budget modification, financed with the remainder of the treasury, which contemplates, among other measures, an increase of 100,000 euros in the item intended to help businesses affected by municipal works or actions.
This provision will make it possible to reinforce aid aimed at local establishments that may experience economic losses as a result of the work carried out on their streets, taking into account the possible difficulties that these actions may cause in access to businesses or in the normal development of their activity.
Among the interventions that justify this reinforcement are the single platform works in different streets of the urban area, a project to improve public space that may temporarily affect the operation of businesses located in the areas of action.
The mayor of Crevillent, Lourdes Aznar Miralles, has indicated that the government team had already expressed its intention to reinforce this line of support to meet the needs of local commerce during the development of the works.
“Given the situation, we already commented that we intended to reinforce this item and that is why we included it in the credit modification, to help businesses in the area as much as possible,” said the mayor.
Aznar has highlighted the importance of taking into account the situation of establishments that may be affected by municipal interventions and of making support mechanisms available to them that contribute to alleviating possible economic consequences during the execution of the works.
The expansion of this item is included in a broader budget modification, which will be submitted to the consideration of the Municipal Corporation in the next plenary session and will allow the reinforcement of various existing items and enable credit for new actions necessary for the operation of municipal services.
