Chicago crime: Homicide investigation underway after man found hurt in Chicago Lawn home on West 61st Street, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police are conducting a homicide investigation after a man was found hurt inside a South Side home on Saturday night.

Police said the 52-year-old was found with injuries to his body in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood’s 2400-block of West 61st Street just after 8:30 p.m.

The man was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not immediately released.

Area detectives investigating, and authorities did not immediately provide additional information.
