The DP World India Championship 2026 will tee off at the Delhi Golf Club in the national capital on Thursday.
The event – scheduled to run from October 15 to 18 – will be the second edition of India’s most lucrative golf tournament. The DP World India Championship golf tournament will be available to watch on live streaming and live telecast.
The tournament is the eighth event in the ‘Back 9’ phase of the 2026 Race to Dubai, with 144 players looking to earn crucial points ahead of the DP World Tour Play-Offs and the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in November.
Grand Slam champion Rory McIlroy will return to India for his second consecutive appearance in the tournament.
The Northern Irishman, who completed his career Grand Slam at the Masters in 2025, will be looking to strengthen his bid for a record-equalling eighth Race to Dubai title.
However, he is currently third in the rankings and faces stiff competition from leader Patrick Reed as the season approaches its conclusion.
Defending champion Tommy Fleetwoodan Olympic medallist, will headline the field alongside former Olympic champion Justin Rose as well as Ryder Cup winners Shane Lowry and Luke Donald.
Reigning Open champion Ryan Fox and fellow Major winners Patrick Reed and Aaron Rai add to the star-studded line-up.
The home challenge will be led by Olympian Shubhankar Sharma and 18-time global winner Anirban Lahiri, alongside Karandeep Kochhar and Shiv Kapur. A total of 27 Indian golfers are in action.
Shubhankar Sharma heads into the tournament on the back of his victory at the Kapil Dev Invitational Tour Championship last week, while Anirban Lahiri returns after a seven-week break.
Gaganjeet Bhullar, who won the Krishna Invitational Hyderabad last week for his fifth Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) title and second of the ongoing season, was initially on the entry list but has since withdrawn from the tournament.
Karandeep Kochhar will look to build on his recent performances, having finished runner-up in Hyderabad, while seven-time global winner Shiv Kapur is also in action.
