TROY, Ala. – After a competitive run in the Mercer Tournament last week, Troy men’s tennis looks ahead to end-of-week action at the ITA Regionals in Auburn at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.
Ausias Martin Melo, Luciano Alcocer and Gabriel Garay will compete in the main draw, with the rest of the Trojans starting play in the qualifying rounds. Stephan Tavares Noale is set to be the No. 2 seed in the qualifying draw.
For doubles play, Troy will have five pairs competing, including Ryusei Miyazato and Lenny GalleyAlcocer and Garay, Thiago Drozdowski and Tavares Noale, Louis Boilevin and Henry de Britoas well as Martin Melo and Til Zimmerman.
Thursday features the qualifying rounds, with the main draws starting Friday. Schools such as Samford, South Alabama, Alabama State, Jacksonville State, Mississippi State and Louisiana will also make an appearance in the tournament.

Mercer Recap
Troy enters Thursday’s matchup after its run in the Mercer Tournament, where the Trojans advanced to the final matches.
In the Extra Matches Quarterfinals, Garay defeated Georgia State’s Joao Pimenta 6-1, 6-1, while Boilevin beat Mercer’s Raphael Rousson, 6-2, 6-2.
In doubles play, Miyazato and Galley competed in the E-Final and claimed a 6-4 victory over Kennesaw State’s Kyvan Rietkerk and Konstantinos Megalemos.
