RBI increased repo rate by 0.25%, loan EMI will increase
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to increase the repo rate, giving a big shock to the general public. The Reserve Bank has increased the repo rate by 0.25 percent (i.e. 25 basis points). After this increase, the repo rate has now increased from 5.25 percent to 5.50 percent. This is the first time after February 2023 that RBI has made any change or increase in the repo rate. Along with this, the Central Bank has also revised the inflation rate estimate and increased it to 4.4 percent.
