MUNCIE, Ind. (WCHS) — A 17-year-old who was committed to play college football at West Virginia University was killed in a shooting overnight in Muncie, Indiana, reports said.
Chris Wilson Jr., was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in a vehicle just before 3 a.m. Monday, according to the Star Press.
Wilson was a standout at defensive end who held multiple offers from Division I football programs when he chose to play football for the Mountaineers. He was the No. 11 overall recruit from the state of Indiana in the 2027 class.
An investigation into Wilson’s death is ongoing by the Muncie Police Department.
